The Bridal Trend: The Ethereal Effect of Embroidery

Embroidery— once known for being showcased on your grandmother’s curtains has been undergoing a classy makeover. Today, bridal gowns everywhere feature intricate and delicate lace embroidery. Revealing that hint of skin yet remaining tasteful, lace embroidery is a bridal trend that isn’t going anywhere.

The Gown:
This beautiful gown by BHLDN features a sheer paneled deep V-neckline trimmed with lace embroidery. It produces a cut-out illusion without revealing too much skin. However, it still remains characteristic of Old Hollywood bridal gowns with it’s textured lace fabric.

Like every dress we choose to highlight here on our blog, there’s always an eye-catching element to share. The front may seem intricate enough with all the details, but the true focal point of the gown is in the back. Sheer paneled straps help keep the gown comfortably in place as the back lace embroidery trickles down into a low-cut back.

This sultry, yet romantic gown is a lovely choice for an outdoors garden wedding. With flowers and twinkling lights hanging about, the dress will look absolutely ethereal.

To create taste of that garden vibe, Star Events and Floral Designs by Jennie created our bride’s colorful, sorbet toned bouquet. The beautiful flower selection complemented our bride’s look adding that stunning, pop of color.

How to Accessorize:

Given the intricate detailing of the gown, we wanted to keep accessories at a minimum as to not outshine it. We added a vintage touch to the look by accessorizing with a pair of diamond clustered studded earrings and an open cuff bracelet to match. All featured jewelries are by BHLDN! Keep in mind we refrained from wearing any jewelry along the laced neckline as to not overwhelm the details of the dress.

Flattering Body Type: Curvy

This form fitting wedding gown is beyond flattering for our curvaceous brides! The fitted form of the dress is a complementing gown of choice to highlight those curves!

Ting Makeup and Hair Styling:

We stayed true to the earthy, garden-inspired vibe of the shoot by keeping makeup natural. We gave our model a subtle, smoky eye paired with a pinch of pink in the cheeks and lips to keep the look sweet.

Since the dress is relatively sexy, we wanted to balance it out with a more youthful, just-out-of-bed hairstyle. Hair was styled in loose, beachy waves and strands were twisted back for a soft, girly feel.

Behind the Lens:

We are so proud to be working alongside our friend, Tina Chiou, once again! Her talented snaps have been featured in multiple bridal blogs. And we are so lucky to have her on board with us here at Ting Makeup and Hair!
